The Early Years
The Indianapolis Colts were founded in 1953 as the Baltimore Colts. The team played its first game in 1953 and quickly became one of the most successful teams in the NFL.
In 1958, the Colts won their first NFL Championship. The team went on to win two more NFL Championships in 1959 and 1968.
The Move to Indianapolis
In 1984, the Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis. The team has played in Indianapolis ever since.
Since moving to Indianapolis, the Colts have won one AFC Championship in 2009. The team has also appeared in two Super Bowls, losing both games.
The Colts Today
The Colts are currently led by head coach Frank Reich. The team has a number of talented players, including quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Jonathan Taylor, and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.
The Colts are hoping to compete for a Super Bowl title in 2023. The team has a lot of potential and could be a dark horse to win the championship.
