The Dallas Mavericks lost a thrilling Game 4 to the Utah Jazz on Sunday night at Vivint Arena, 100-99. Despite a valiant effort from Jalen Brunson, who led the Mavericks with 25 points, the Jazz were able to pull out the victory in the final seconds.

The Mavericks were without their leading scorer, Luka Doncic, who missed the game due to a calf strain. In his absence, Brunson stepped up and led the Mavericks' offense. Brunson was efficient from the field, shooting 9-of-17, and he also hit all six of his free throw attempts.

The Mavericks led by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter, but the Jazz were able to chip away at the lead. With just over a minute remaining, Donovan Mitchell hit a jumper to give the Jazz a 98-97 lead. Brunson answered back with a layup to tie the game, but Mitchell hit another jumper with just seconds remaining to give the Jazz the win.

The Mavericks will now head back to Dallas for Game 5 on Tuesday night. They will need to win Game 5 to stay alive in the series.
