Power lines downed after powerful windstorm
Thousands of Bozeman-area residents have no electricity Tuesday, December 6, 2023, after a windstorm pushed through overnight. The storm brought a gust of wind of 55 mph, which caused trees and storm debris to fall onto power lines.
According to Bozeman Daily Chronicle, areas most affected by outages are Sourdough Canyon Road and Bozeman Pass.

NorthWestern Energy crews are currently assessing the damage and working to restore power as quickly as possible. The company said they expect most customers to have their power back by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
