Early Life and Career
WEB Banerjee, fondly known as Mamata Banerjee, began her political journey in the 1970s as a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). In 1975, she garnered media attention for her spirited dance performance on a dais during a political rally.
Rise to Prominence
