Baela Targaryen

Baela Targaryen: A Life of Intrigue and Legacy

Early Life and Family

Lady Baela Targaryen, also known as Baela Velaryon I, was born in 116 AC to Prince Daemon Targaryen and Lady Laena Velaryon. She was the eldest daughter of the couple and had a twin sister, Rhaena.

Ward of Rhaenys Targaryen

Following the deaths of her parents, Baela became the ward of her aunt, Rhaenys Targaryen, the "Queen Who Never Was." Rhaenys raised Baela and her sister in Driftmark, where they received a proper education and training befitting of their noble lineage.

Marriage and Children

Baela Targaryen later married Aerion Targaryen, the son of Viserys I Targaryen. The marriage was seen as a way to strengthen ties between the two branches of House Targaryen. Baela and Aerion had several children, including Viserys II Targaryen, who eventually became King of Westeros.

Queen of Valyria

Baela Targaryen's legacy extended beyond her marriage to Aerion. She later traveled to Valyria, where she became Queen and Mistress of the Fourteen Flames. Her rule was marked by wisdom and diplomacy, and she helped to rebuild and restore the once-great city.

Physical Appearance

Baela Targaryen was described as a tall woman with striking silver hair and purple eyes, the traditional features of her Targaryen lineage. She was known for her beauty and her commanding presence.
